Sunday Morning Contemporary Family Service at St. Thomas’ Hall

Looks can be deceiving. What was once an old parish renovated hall has now been transformed inside into a wonderful Worship Centre with all the mod cons. Every Sunday morning at 10am a contemporary, family orientated, communion service is held. Modern songs and choruses are the order of the day for the 10am service and a Children’s Church runs simultaneously with the service for the younger worshippers.

The service typically has come to an end by about 11.30 so there is still time for a good chat over a tea or coffee.

Saturday Evening Thomos@5 at St. Thomas’ Worship Centre

Thomos@5 is at the other end of the church service spectrum. It runs Saturday evenings at 5pm and goes for an hour. It’s an all age, informal, coffee shop style service were almost anything can happen.

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Saturday of the month. The young ones are catered for by a really good weekly children’s talk and for the even younger ones a crèche and crying room are provided. Compared to the rest of our services this one is quite new and still in the development stage so come along and enjoy the informal worship and wonderful sense of community as we grow together to become everything God desires us to be. Sunday Morning Prayer Book Service at St. Thomas’ Historic Church

Holy Communion is a regular weekly event every Sunday morning starting at 8am in the historic St Thomas’ church.

The service runs as it has for many many years and has a wonderful sense of order and rhythm. If you allow about an hour and a half for the service you will have time to spare.

The Walker piped organ (the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere) is used in this service and is something to hear. As people have for decades, this service represents a wonderful opportunity to do business with God and worship him in a style that has stood the test of time. Learn more? Click here.

Colonial Chapel: Wednesday Morning Service of Holy Communion.

The Colonial Chapel was once the early settlement’s surgeon’s dispensary. For many years now it has been used as a place of worship and is known as The Colonial Chapel of Christ the Healer. There is a service of Holy Communion in the chapel every Wednesday at 11am.

The service runs for about an hour and uses the Australian Hymn Book. The wonderful community of believers that gather together for this mid week service warmly welcome any visitors and new comers who prefer a traditional Anglican prayer book communion service. Learn more? Click here.

Trinity Anglican Church meets at St Columba Anglican School.

Port Macquarie is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia. The Parish has prayerfully responded to this growth by commencing a new congregation in the burgeoning western region of the town.

Rev Ken Fenton has moved from Tamworth to lead the new ministry which has begun particularly well.

Weekly services commenced at the end of January and already people are attending in good spirits and in good number.

The church meets Sundays at 10am at St Columba Anglican School, Major Innes Road. If you wish to know more about this ministry you can contact Ken on 02 6583 8380 or visit www.trinityanglicanchurch.org.au . Learn more? Click here.
