St Thomas' Church.... a Christian Church dedicated to proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ
in the community of Port Macquarie.

The Bible gives us God’s plan for the world he loves. Tensions and divisions amongst people can be traced back to the belief that we don’t need God and we do not honour him as God and seek his way for us. God never stops loving us and seeking to bring us home.

Like all Christians we are committed to living this truth, a truth that sets every believer on a journey with God; one that is both exciting and personally challenging. St Thomas’ Anglican Church has been a centre of Christian Ministry in Port Macquarie since the 1820’s. We see truth as not a set of ideas, but rather for us truth is a Person, Jesus Christ. We believe he was a great figure in history but also that he is the Son of God, he is alive today and is the final judge of all and yet a true friend to any who trust him.

We seek help on the way by meeting together on Church Hill and in homes, worshipping God in a variety of ways, sharing and having fun together as we seek to understand and apply the Scriptures to our lives, with the Holy Spirit helping us.

Like all Christians we can fail and struggle and yet we find God is faithful and always a source of strength and comfort, joy and hope to all who seek him with all their heart.

We also believe God wants to show his love for the world through us as we live our ordinary lives in the community. We want to see society transformed so there is justice and truth at every level of Australian society.
